Located in the heart of Washington, D.C., Georgetown University’s summer program blends world-class English instruction with access to some of the United States’ most significant cultural and political landmarks. Students enjoy an immersive experience at one of America’s most prestigious universities, complemented by exciting excursions to historic sites, museums, and amusement parks. This program develops academic skills while giving students a deeper appreciation for U.S. history, culture, and society.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Washington, D.C.
Students check in at Georgetown University’s campus housing. Orientation activities introduce the university setting and program schedule.
Day 2–5: Learning & Exploration
Morning English lessons (20–45 hours per week). Afternoon and evening excursions include visits to:
- Centennial Olympic Park & Skyview Atlanta*
- World of Coca Cola*
- Stone Mountain Skyride
- Georgia Aquarium
- National Center for Civil and Human Rights
- Six Flags Over Georgia
(*program includes travel between Washington, D.C. and Atlanta-based excursions as part of the itinerary.)
Day 6: American History & Culture
Students continue with English lessons, followed by group excursions to D.C. memorials and Smithsonian museums.
Day 7: Fun & Farewell
Final group activities at Six Flags or local attractions, closing reflections, and certificate distribution.
Day 8: Departure
Check-out, airport transfer, and departure.

Additional Program Elements
Educational Value: Students strengthen their English proficiency while engaging with U.S. history, civil rights, and global culture, all within the context of one of America’s most respected universities.
Safety & Logistics: On-campus accommodations provide a secure environment, and all excursions are fully supervised. Transportation between D.C. and Atlanta-based program sites is organized and monitored by program staff.
Group Requirements: Open enrollment, no minimum group size required. Available from June through August.
