Trip Overview

This four-day ski trip to Bansko, Bulgaria, offers students an incredible opportunity to experience one of Eastern Europe’s premier ski destinations at an exceptional value. Nestled at the foot of the Pirin Mountains, Bansko combines excellent modern ski facilities with charming traditional architecture and warm Bulgarian hospitality. This package is perfect for both beginners looking to learn and intermediate skiers wanting to explore longer runs, all while experiencing the unique culture of this beautiful Balkan country.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Bansko
We’ll meet you at Sofia Airport (SOF) and provide a transfer to our hotel in Bansko (approximately 2 hours). After check-in, we’ll get fitted for ski equipment and have a trip orientation. The evening is free to explore Bansko’s charming old town with its cobblestone streets and traditional restaurants.

Day 2: First Day on the Slopes
After breakfast, we’ll take the gondola up to the ski area where professional instructors will provide lessons based on ability level. Beginners will learn basics on gentle slopes while more experienced skiers can explore Bansko’s diverse terrain. We’ll break for lunch at one of the mountain restaurants before afternoon skiing sessions.

Day 3: Mountain Exploration
We’ll continue developing our skiing skills with full access to Bansko’s ski area, which features 16 lifts and 75km of runs. The modern lift system ensures minimal wait times and maximum skiing enjoyment. The long, well-groomed runs provide perfect conditions for improving technique and building confidence.

Day 4: Final Runs & Departure
We’ll enjoy our final morning on the slopes, practicing new skills and enjoying the stunning mountain scenery. After lunch and check-out, we’ll transfer back to Sofia Airport for departure, taking home great memories and new skiing abilities.

Cost Included

The trip price covers three nights in a 3-5 star hotel, daily breakfast, comprehensive travel insurance, local transportation, ski pass for all days, and rental ski equipment (skis, boots, poles).

Cost Excluded

The price does not include international airfare, airport transfers, lunches and dinners, ski clothing rental, personal expenses, or any optional activities beyond skiing.

Additional Program Elements

Educational Value: This trip teaches winter sports skills, mountain safety, and cultural awareness. Students learn about Bulgarian history and traditions while developing physical coordination and perseverance on the slopes.

Safety & Logistics: All skiing is supervised by certified instructors with appropriate student-to-instructor ratios. Bansko offers modern ski facilities and well-maintained slopes suitable for various ability levels.

Group Requirements: A minimum of 10 participants is required. The ski season typically runs December through April, with best conditions January-March.

Note: Ski clothing can be rented separately if needed. The itinerary may adjust based on weather conditions and snow quality. Helmets are strongly recommended and can be rented locally.
